Microsoft is in talks with several potential partners to help get the movie back up on its feet.
After their dealings with Universal and Fox to work on the Halo movie fell through, Microsoft had no choice but to start looking elsewhere. According to Peter Jackson's representative Ken Kamins, they are already in talks with several other potential partners to help continue work on the movie.

They could careless what the movie was about or that it stemmed from a game, all they know is that it's one, NEW! Two, it has monsters, some buff guys that look like they're on steroids! (sterioids, YAY!) And lastly, it's apparently the rave in some place then obviously if they've expanded this means that it's only going to get betterm correct?
