What is GeekNewz? 

Geeknewz is a fun tech focused community which is used as a hub for sharing knowledge, spreading opinion and meeting new people.

Who are you and where did you come from?

Geeknewz has been around for a few years now and was originally founded by actz as a hobby whilst spending some "time off" in Hawaii. However, once back in the real world where people have to work to survive, it became difficult to run the operation single handedly. Luckily there were many community members willing to help and keep fresh content getting published onto the site. The need however for a helping hand in development became apparent, at which point jamie jumped on board. After a few month's struggling to extend the aging code base, it was decided that the move to something more extensible had to be made and so a few months of labour was put it in to re-launch Geeknewz on top of a completey new framework.

Where is GeekNewz going?

With the initial jump to the new back-end in place, it is now time to look to a bright future. We are focused on growing and moving the community forward quickly, and provide our members with an "online home" where there is always something new to learn, or something fun to experience. We will constantly be adding new feature's and will be moving towards the modern internet era of choice.
