I just saw Dark City again for the 5th time and I started to look online for other movies by Alex Proyas and I came accross this movie coming out later this year called I Robot based on the short stories by Isaac Asimov.
Well Will Smith is playing the lead actor and the trailer has been released today it seems so check it out could be something to look forward to but I never get my hopes anymore I'll just be dissapointed.
Plot Outline: In the year 2035 a techno-phobic cop investigates a crime that may have been perpetrated by a robot, which leads to a larger threat to humanity.

"half facal hair" I'm not sure what your ref to but the face on the robot just seems so fake... just the expression is too human.

just saw the trailer. Interesting concept but the trailer pretty much gives away the whole content of the movie save the ending, which in the case of this movie it seems to be is too much. On the story u said he was against technology but at the beginning he is using an ear piece and checking his badge through laser stuff and so on so i dun think he hates technology just not robots. Seeing that its an Isaak Asimov book its prolly a good book but im afraid the movie might be really bad compared to the book. But we shall see, might see it if it gets here.

well it could be good or bad ... not excellent or terrible thats what I think. "...but at the beginning he is using an ear piece and checking his badge through laser stuff and so on so i dun think he hates technology just not robots." Well he could hate technology but in 2035 he may not have a choice to use it or not like his cop badge to get in his office may not be his choice and the ear piece etc.
This guys wrote Bicentenial Man ... whatever its called and that was oh so bad.

if he hated it the character would still show repugnance to using technology. Will Smith doesnt seem to do is, so either ur going in too deep to the character, or hes not acting it right.
Isaac Asimov has written good books. Im afraid however, the movie so far like Bicentenial man sucked.

yeah thats kinda my opinion first hand its because its been downplayed from a good novel into an "everyday" type film.

"...if he hated it the character would still show repugnance to using technology." you can tell that from the 3 sec clip you see him with the tech stuff wow
Well for sure everyone that reads the book will be dissapointed it seems to be like that for just about every movie based on the book but thats why they use the word "based" doesnt mean it has to be a replica anyways I'll watch it of course but i'm not expecting it to be all that great hope I get suprised.

the character cant like it one second then not like it another. For the point of the movie, the trailer SHOULD show his disgust for it in the 3 seconds .

hehe that would be ridiculous imo (its weird what your saying because who says he likes it then doesnt? If you live in the future odds are you cant get around without it? You want him in every scene to be like "damn i hate this oh god now i hate that why why do i have to use this?" hehehe)

not every scene no. im just using the fact that u said he hated it. If thats a big point in the movie it should be in the trailer. it isnt
