Taking note of my signature I find this thread quite appropriate.

I just discovered the Spudgun at TheScreensavers, which I haven't been able to watch for quite some time now. Thanks to SuranWrap for posting the link to "Unscrewed with Martin Sargent". Posting this in the thread he'd created would have been off-topic so I figured I'd create my own specifically related to the Spudgun.

Specs:
    o Twin 6" x 36" sch 40 chambers. (2035 cu. in.)
    o Dual Supah-Valves.
    o 8' long, 3" dia. sch 80 barrel.
    o Ported muzzle break.
    o Breech loadable.
    o 9' 6" overall length.
    o 70 lbs. total weight.
    o Massive recoil!!
    o Primary "ammo" -- 20 and 24 oz. plastic soda bottles.
    o Muzzle velosity -- Forgot to bring my chrono along....sorry.

hehe, but what do u actually use it 4?? and how far does it shoot?

I used to build these in my back yard, they weren't that nice looking.
but it shot the spuds about 95-170 feet.
the best was it shot a Frozen orange threw a foot of ply-wood at 25 feet away!

I was a crazy kid.

I've seen one shoot well further than a football field. Depending on the size of the tube/pressure they can get going quite far. Theres a video on collegehumor.com of someone getting shot in the stomache with one.. oh man... it puts him down...

Make your own simple stud gun!

relitively simple
pvc pipes (varying lengths for barrel and reciever) one screw cap for pvc pipe with fitting of appropriate size, grill igniter or similar electronic igniting mecanism, hair spray (Aerosol) , amo (potatos, tennis balls, fruit and the list go's on...)
