Which nominee would you elect?
At a school election I voted for Ralph Nader but forgot about Dennis Kucinich. Neither will win. I'm sure Dubbya will run a second term.

< I really like Kerry's page.

If there's anything wrong with the poll, just tell me.

I'd vote for Doddy... if anyone knows who I'm talking about I'll give you a nickel. Personally I try not to get too involved with politics cause blah.. its politics. Out of those though, uhh... ... ... I dont know, no vote from me I guess.
snocked
Nader, though he won't win.
actz
Should have had this poll a month ago but out of John Edwards and John Kerry I say John Edwards the last debate was riduculous I dont know if anyone caught it but they really didnt stress enough of their views accross.

Anyways Kerry will win but he may team up with John Edwards and that wouldnt be so bad. I like John Edwards more then Kelly but we will see how it turns out I dont know if Kerry really wants to team up with Edwards.

Reasons why i liked Dean was because he spoke out a lot more then the rest but this didnt work in his favor and he also blew 40 million pretty fast on his campaign. If you dont know who Dean is he's the one always screaming hehehe dont get me wrong he still wouldnt be my first choice.

Eventhought I dont think Kerry would be my number one choice i think he is a good candidate to run for president he sure has the experience behind him.
GTX5_Crusader
I vote for me.

But I'll never win.

Oh well.

(You can tell I don't really care tongue.gif )
Kenut
I'm Canadian, eh?

But I don't even know Canadian politics...So I sure as hell won't know American politics.

Could someone just sum up...what each of these guys stand for? Like...are they right? left? What are they fighting for? etc..

I do want to know even though it doesn't concern me as much as our neighbours to the south.
Deftone
yeah u forgot a part for us ppl who either don't care or live in another country tongue.gif I vote no one. In fact, i vote...kill em all.
gofikphoenix
I voted for bush cuz the americans i hav met say they like him laugh.gif
SuranWrap
Im not american, but as long as bush doesnt get in, thats fine.
gofikphoenix
laugh.gif suranwrap i see that to most people george bush is a tyrant but i reckon he is better than clinton.
Deftone
whaaaaaat??? Tyrant...hes more of a moron id say. Better than clinton? Clinton was a much better president. Just coz he had that scandal doesnt mean he couldnt handle the country, he did quite a good job while he was in power. Bush is completely useless.
gofikphoenix
But then again im from the UK and your from Argentina so we both dont really have a very clear view of things.
Deftone
we can read newspapers and hear what ppl have to say. thats as clear a view as anybody's coz thats what they do.
MaD
bush is an idiot
al sharpton for president
keep it real
peace out

I'm not big on politics either, I very, very rarely watch the news. The only way Bush speaks is through teleprompters otherwise he has no opinion.

Kenut: I'm not quite what each guy stands for either but I have a pretty good idea.
( G ) Ralph Nader - Green Party, left wing (liberal - you can't go wrong).
( D ) Dennis Kucinich - Extremely liberal, populist (a believer in the rights, wisdom, or virtues of the common people).
( D ) John Edwards - Liberal, is deeply concerned about economy, wants to create jobs (his main concern). Exactly what we need.
( D ) John Kerry - Liberal
( D ) Al Sharpton - No idea. Look at his webpage eep.
( R ) George (Dubbya) Bush - Raving lunatic republican (you wouldn't like him in the slightest), this is the guy who wants to ban gay marriage.

At the school vote they had fliers on each of the nominees stating what their ideals/concerns were. You couldn't take one though. I don't care that much either, as long as Dubbya is kicked out. He never wants to admit he's made a mistake... not good! He's lied numerous times. Clinton lied once about something that wasn't any of the government's business and he was impeached; much, much less damaging than Bush's lies. Bush should have been impeached a LONG time ago. All the rich people will elect Bush and he'll get back in.

Ok, he asked for platforms not your opinion... dont be biased toward the different parties and candidates.
.::PHPfanatic::.
Even the poll is biased. Someone else should have started this thread, sorry. I'll have to find an unbiased page here.

I snagged one.
Project Vote Smart Type in each candidate's last name and it will display detailed information for each.
Deftone
unbiased? hehe ..dun think there's such a thing on this earth.
Troa34
no Im just saying you say so and so is liberal he believes in this, so and so wants to create jobs, then GW is a "raving lunatic republican you wouldnt like him". Nothing about his platform and the fact is I doubt ANY of the candidates even know what their own view is on most things. Once there is a dem. candidate chosen he'll adpopt the default democratic platform anyway.

As far as the "all the rich people will elect bush" comment, well the "rich" people in the US definately dont outnumber the non. And another thing EVERY candidate has someone else writing their speeches and use a teleprompter. Cmon man, just because you already have a preference or your candidate doesnt mean you have to believe that they're the only one with flaws. EVERY candidate has flaws, and most have many.
Deftone
to get to politics u cant be nice.

Yea, Bush just has more than others haha, j/k I don't know.
Let's just make it so the rich's votes count 15x as much as any other... then he'll win. tongue.gif

Well from what I see here...

I think Nader and Edwards sounds pretty good. Kucinich sounds to be too ideal...But then again...I don't think any of these guys will hold true to what they say if they get to be president. They just sweet talk ya now so you will vote for them. I'm sure some of them mean well but once they become president they're gonna realize it's not so easy to do what they had said they would do. Even the president can't just make changes with a snap of his fingers.

I hope that was a joke, Clinton wasn an excellent president.

I believe Clinton dealt with the Middle East better than any american presidents to date, Bush dealt with the Middle East misrebly.

Personally I vote for Nader, because my sister's husband's name is Nader biggrin.gif

Clinton bombed the hell out of it too.... Bush invaded took out a ruthless dictator that has been pursecuting his own people for years and years. Inoccent people died, but thats war, they were dying anyway at the hands of their own government. Maybe we should have just sent a diplomat and asked pretty please, maybe someone else should have instead of the big bad US, or maybe we should have just kept bombing him regularly like every other president the past 20 years, would that have made it any better?

I agree with you Deftone. (I've been doing this a lot lately) Even though people don't mean to be sided its just comes to people to be sided. In the back of there minds they really would prefer A over B or whatever, its just a matter of connecting and showing your views or keeping them locked inside. A politician is someone who shows his views.

I more think of it as a politician is someone who shows you views he/she wants you to think are his and so you will vote for him/her.

I also agree with Deftone on the last post .. lol
