A little blunt on the explanation there.
This is going to be interesting. I have a presentation due in a few weeks, and the topic is "What is the best browser to use?" and I have to cover topics such as security, ease of use, system requirements, administrative effort (setup and continual setup) and things like that. Well, it's all about IE

I will always side with Firefox but lately I decided to give Opera another try and I have to admit the 8 beta version seems really nice. I’m still playing around with some of the features as they have tons, also has a very customizable interface that won point. I’ll let you all know my final verdict this weekend.

I guess I should bring it up:
Has anyone gotten any new opinions on Internet Explorer since the announced release of IE 7?

I would if they revealed some of the features in the browser... I hope it has a good download manager. Thats about the only thing missing in IE.

I've heard some very promising reports about IE 7. I'm not sure about a download manager though, but many of the security features, pop-up and spyware blockers included, have been made even better.

I'd like to object to what one of you said a while ago, that all website designers prefer Mozzilla Firefox over IE. I am a website designer, I have been paid to make over fifty website, I am certified in SQL, PHP, JScript, HTML, XML, XHTML, ASPX, C#, C++, C+ , and Java. And yet I still prefer IE.

People say that because I'm certified in Microsoft stuff that I will prefer Microsoft products over others. That's not true because I prefer Mac video editing software over Windows.
No matter how many times I force myself to use Firefox to "try it one more time", I STILL go back to IE.

LOL Im with you GTX I have Firefox installed on this machine right now and im still using IE

if your planning on being a tech its best to use what comes in the box so to speak (a realy realy good tech also learns the others just in case...) Never know when some one will demand to have that instead of IE...

Even if Ifound something that was better than IE, it still be a little hard to use it, as I'm SO used to using IE since it first came out.
I've tried and tried to get used to Mozzilla Firefox. I just can't do it. It's always gotten to tick me off at some point, whether it be minute number ten or hour number three.
After using any other browser, it feels like heaven when I use IE.

I just downloaded IE 7. Now there's barely anything FF can brag on, but quite a bit IE can.
It's pretty nice.
There's still somethings I prefer, though.

IE 7 beta ver2 didn't allow tabs to be opened. It just shut when you right clicked and clicked on open new tab. I had a tough time uninstalling it too. I think Ill wait for the proper release!

Realy, now?
I have Beta 2, and It'll let me open and close tabs, witout any trouble...
What bugs me is the people who think that IE7 is trying to imitate FF.
