I thought of this while reading PHP's post about when you sleep.
Noise can be anything: A fan blowing. Humidifier. A movie. The Weather Channel. Whatever.
Hot is mainly set for tempureature above 80°F (26.7°C, 299.8 K).
Warm is "room tempurature", set to about 71-79°F (21.7-26.1°C, 294.8-299.3 K)
Cool is a "cool summer night", about 61-69°F (16.1-20.6°C, 289.3-293.7 K)
Cold is, well, cold... running less than 60°F (20.6°C, 288.7 K)
For me, I like it cold. I am most comfortable in about 50°F (10°C, 283.15K), and, depending on how I feel, I have music playing. I can't sleep well in absolute quiet, so I have to have SOMETHING running, even if it's the low hum of a computer or the blow of the wind through a window.

I guess its different depending on the season, cooler during the summer of course. But fall/winter I like to have at least 3 blankets and multiple layers of clothing. Aside from the loud "hum" of my computer right outside my room which can be heard, I almost always have the tv on whether I'm watching it or not. All while on my 2 ratty old mattresses laying on the ground with a sleeping bag as the cover and my blankets and 5 pillows. Yes... I live like a king.

i'd say mine is cool with noise. Its almost no noise but since the AC is on and rotating u can somewhat hear the soft humming if u really pay attention to it. A long while bck i used to sleep with the radio on or something playing. I dont anymore coz it distracts my sleep.

I chose cold with no noise. I like it cold so it can make being in my blankets extra comfortable. I chose no noise because...Nothing in my room makes any noise. My computers are in a seperate room...Actually they are in a room right across the hallway from my bedroom...hahaa...so I get the convience and the quietness.

I voted cool with music although there are no options without noise there ussually isn't too much noise where I sleep, unless I am sleeping in the workshop where's there is a fishtank making a bubbling noise (workshop: my personal dwelling/hangout about 80 yds from my parents house (parrents own it but I adopted it) it is an old wood workshop that I put carpeting, couches,TV, stereo, computer (well one of mine) , and all musical equipment (EX guitar, bass, otherguitars, amplifiers)) rather nice

I usually sleep in a cold room. If its hot i can't get to sleep. I usually hav my laptop near with the screen glowing. I don't usually have music on. But like Hrad i have my bass amp and my bass guitar around the place. I usually actually go to sleep at 1-2 am because i sit in bed tapping away on my laptop.

Even in the winter I like it cold in my room. Back about a year ago before I moved, my room was in the basement (not that bad

) and even in the winter I had the window open with the fan in it running

Cool with noise (not music). If I don't have a fan on it will take me hours upon hours to fall asleep... needless to say, I hate it. I'm a lot like gtx, the fan's always on when I'm going to sleep but the bed will have about 3 blankets on it so it's not cold, cool. I was once at a friend's house trying to go to sleep without a fan and it never worked, I walked around the whole night thinking, wanting to play Red Alert on his computer. Everyone in the household is cold in the basement and always complaining about it. My computer's in the basement, I'm not cold at all but that may be due to how engrossed I am, I don't know. It's usually about 54°F down here I think. After I come upstairs I realize my feet are freezing.
That's hilarious how you have Kelvin in there too, gtx, because it's completely unnecessary.

I say it's never too cold unless you spit and it freezes before it hits the ground. THEN it's cold

I like it warm with some background noise. I leave my computer running and I fall asleep to to the weakerthans left and leaving cd every night. I hate sleeping in the cold which causes problems for me because my flatmates sleep with fans running and their windows open, even when it's minus 20. That makes the morning trip to the bathroom quite an adventure, especially after stepping out of the shower, going from extreme heat to extreme cold... grr...

You've no doubt messed up your sleep with the blaring music. It's difficult for me to wake up unless my alarm clock is set on max volume, even then it's difficult. You need 3 alarm clocks because of how loud the music is. I like noise (ie: fans) but this would be impossible for me. How do you do it?

Hmmm... I usually sleep with headphones on (and since I have a 20ft extension cable I have no worry in pulling out the jack or something) to drown out the noise of my roomates (who usually stay up longer than I do.) The music I can fall asleep to is quite loud, usually able to be heard by others, and consists of Fuel, Linkin Park, BT, Nickelback, Rush, Metallica, and many, many more.
Yes, I can fall asleep to that.

eventually you begin to not even listen to whats being played, u just have to have the noise coming into your ears. It becomes like your lullaby so it doesnt matter what type of music it is.

Nah... I use 3 alarm clocks because I'm THAT lazy! hehe See... I place them all in different corners of my room. That means I get up out of bed and turn them off. I am so deteremined to sleep that I usually go back to bed. But by the 3rd alarm clock, after I've gotten up to turn it off, I am usually awake enough to realize that I should go get ready. hehe

Creative tactic there, LiNx. I know what you mean, I'm always really tired in the morning too (I'm not a morning person at all).
Heavy metal = lullaby...
