Im not sure if there was a post about this one earlier. I hope there wasnt, either way im opening one about it now. I just saw it today, and while it was truly a weird movie i found it to be rather good. The shot composition, scenes, plot in general was worked out skillfully. And the ending message of the movie was rather good i think and makes you think twice or even three times about your own life and what u want to accomplish, and how to deal with the things that occur to you. I was wondering what y'all thought on it.

Yeah i agree the movie is good. The director had some excellent powerful scenes in it. What made the movie for me was Sean Penn he's just a great actor with every role he plays. Since the movie U Turn by Oliver Stone i've seen all Sean Penns movies.

Its an original movie with with good acting and good filming but the only thing I had a problem with would be an actor that i like but Benicio accent just doesnt cut it for me. Both this movie and the Hunted just didnt convince me he was american sorry. Don’t get me wrong he is still good in it as he is the kind of actor that has a presence but I think he may want to work on the accent a bit more.

I know what you mean. Overall the movie was good though. I agree on the Sean Penn part, he is great. I guess you have seem I am Sam with him. He does such a good roleplay at being mentally retarded I was just blown away (u know coz he usually does badass roles or some other type of thing ) I still have to see Mystic River with him. I do think however in 21 grams, some scenes were totally unecessary. All the sex scenes while they depicted the life of the people around the story, really did not help in any way to the point, it just seemed to me like a way for the director to show boobs lol.

It’s a complicated movie to explain its about life and choices you make. Sean Penn is dying from lung cancer and benicio is a x convict that has turned to religion as his savior. Anyways all character intertwine at the end.

My favorite actor is Denzel but i really did want Sean Penn to win best actor for I Am Sam excellent excellent acting.
