So anyway just decided to start this based on the discussion going on in the shout box. Lucid dreams are dreams in which you can somehow be aware of your dreamlike state and begin to control what happens around in your dream. Many say that in order to get this you have to induce yourself mentally before sleeping to do so, however this is not always the case. can you control your dreams? do you even dream at all (never remember)?
If so, tell us and also tell of the most interesting dream you've had if it can be told.
As for myself I rather rarely dream at all....In fact im close to never, and usually I cannot control what I see in my dream. Well what i mean is I do not remember my dreams coz as we know we always dream.

hehe, when I have a nightmare, sometimes I wake up, and then I go back to sleep, and suddenly, I'm in a different dream. By the way, how do you do that, inducing yourself? I wanna control everything in my dreams, I would make BEAUTIFUL dreams, if you know what I mean

hehe

well if u check the shoutbox earlier on JP posted a link to a site. It is not a concrete way to induce dreaming. Like its more of a mindset and its easier said than done...but basically try to think in ur mind that u will dream...and what about..and if u will control it..all before u fall asleep. It technically helps. then if u wake from a dream, go and write it in a book..such things like that help

That would be very interesting to write all dreams in a book but I never feel like it.
I myself very, very rarely dream and if I do, remember them. I don't remember being able to control any of them either. I'm an extremely deep sleeper (ie: the universe could be imploding and it wouldn't even phase me - or a black hole sucking up the Earth) lol.

I rarely dream... I think we'd all be a bit happier if we could control when and what we dream

At least the guys.....

Bah, I clicked on the wrong vote... I thought it said "Sometimes I Control them"... I didn't see the "And" there...

Depeding on the dream, I can sometimes be in full control of it... to a realistic extent. I can't do things unrealistically in a dream... sortof. Well, I can't be like flying or something like that, just on my own

I've had weird instances with dreams... most of you know that by now

Sometimes I have sets of 3 or 4 dreams in one night each dealing with something different perhaps in a prophetic likeness trying to tell me something, I am not going to go into detail because they are kind of personal, but quite often I have rather strange dreams. two nights ago I had a dream I was in a battle or perhaps a competition, there were two man teams and there 3 different kind of warior mech robots you cotrolled by driving, one was a AT-AT walker but it could fold the legs up and become a small fighting jet, another was a jeep with a gunner seat (similar to warthogs on halo) and the next was like a futuristic harrier jet.
suddely my AT-AT walker fell on it's side and suddenly I saw one of my opponents and I began questioning him on how to switch the at at to mode 2 (being the jet mode) right at the end of my sentence I woke up and my friend was laughing at me and my friend asked me what I was talking about. Just an interesting dream hahhaaha
Sorry about me typing the "N" key on my keyboard is being a jerk
although it makes me sound as if I have a nazal problem hahahaha
it is fixed now

That is very interesting, hrad, not to mention complex.
I have one dream that has stuck in my head for maybe 12 years, that of which involved a witch and dog. The dog jumped through the window and the witch followed... that's about all I remember fairly impressive for such a long time period.

I've had continuations of my dreams. I have several different dreams that I can remember in almost full detail that have been continueing for years now. I see the entire dream too. Basically like seeing a shortened version of ''Part 1'' and going on to the full version of ''Part 2''.

I get that! I walk around for about a half hour trying to think if they were important dreams, or something I can forget about. I hate what that happens.

I had a dream last night that involved my personality. I was 3 or 4 different people at once. Very odd. I had my basic and complete personality trying to help the flaw in my personality that makes me very sensitive to other peoples touch. (I hate to be touched by most people, even family members) I also had other parts of my personality which weren’t main characters, such as a DJ (my fondness that boarders on obsession for music), and someone cleaning which is my need for order in my life (lacking at this time). Has anyone else ever had a dream where your personality splits either to help another part or just to play out different interactions?

Feb 5 2004, 02:57 PM
heh. it did use to bother me, but i've just kinda accepted it as a way to keep me sane. I was thinking about my dream some more and realized that i left out the part that the person that represented my phobia of being touched was almost twice the size I am. The DJ and everyone else were my size, and it never really occurred to me that I should be frightened of this giant. Odd huh?
Deftone
Feb 5 2004, 03:02 PM
interesting. Size does not matter hehe. THe bigger they are the harder they fall. The better you can upercut their nuts. lol
i never have that many interesting dreams. Just odd, but not as cool

Feb 5 2004, 06:27 PM
i think that would be great for me because i definately lack in seeing what i do wrong and all of my sides...i see what i want and i know only the things i want to know and remember about myself...i dont think i could handle seeing my phobia side though!!!!

Feb 5 2004, 07:54 PM
lol yeah i dun think anyone would like to see that

I voted: Very often and I controlled them.
That is true for the most part but sometimes they'll slip and commit something so unexpected that I would never even have thought of...
They're of the [clean] love type.
Usually passionate, hot-and-heavy making out with a particular girl from school.
It never goes beyond that...
