Dad: You hurt my son, you're a doctor, it isn't your place.
Doctor: Now listen, sir, the bed doesn't have anything to do with it.
Dad: You're saying my son's unconscious?
Doctor: No, he's doing fine; very comfortable. Here, let me take him to you...
Dad: Fine, but if I find out he's harmed in any way I'm suing.
Doctor: You'll understand once you see him.
*Son is sleeping as doctor and dad enter the room*
Dad: Son, are you okay... please wake up!
*Eyes open and the dad flies back in astonishment*
Son: Hi dad, I'm just lying here in a coma and boy is it comfortable. I'm sure the doctor would be more than happy to put you in a coma anytime you visit.
Doctor: Huh. No thank you son... you and the doctor here are making me think you've both lost your heads.
Son: Well it's almost as if I have lost my head this is so comfortable.
Dad: Please explain your statements, son.
Son: What's there to explain, dad? I'm in a coma because the doctors were concerned about my condition. The doctors claim they've spent a lot of money putting everyone in comas. See dad,
*son moves to the left*

My brother was always under the impression that acomma was a type of bed the doctor would put people in when unconcious. This is how the joke came about.

I got it the first time but I didn't find it particularly funny. the fact that no paragraphs and quoatation marks are used just make it harder to follow...

I may have posted that in the wrong thread but I know Troa had a double post in one of these threads and I don't think I'm incorrect in saying it was this one. He had edited it and bangbang must have deleted it before you saw the double post.

Yeah I double posted rezza. Not the fact that my comment was rather pointless but in all honesty didn't really see the humor, I got the pun, I guess just wasnt that amused.

I thought it was going to be a joke like "The operation was a complete success but the patient died" lol anyway It was a weird joke I bet it would be funnier if some one was telling it. Some jokes just dont convert well to text and vice versa. Kind of reminds me of Monty Pythons type of humor....

@Rezza: When I type it often comes out like that... synthetic. When I talk it's not as "elevated" (I don't think).
