What would be the cheapest, easiest, and best way to record music from our audio tapes onto CDs? I would be using my G4 iBook, running OS X 10.4.11. Thanks.

People really want to get their old music onto their computers nowadays huh?
My dad really wanted to get his vinyls on CDs, and really, it's not that hard. Basically, all you need is something that can play music off the medium that you wish to convert from (tapes in your case), connect the output of that device to the input of your computer (usually the microphone input, the pink one), and finally, record this input with something like Audacity which is free.
I hope this helps wink.gif

I tried using Audacity, but no luck. Also tried using Final Vinyl, but still no luck. Looks like I wil have to invest something, hopefully not too much ..... I can't afford to experiment with buying a bunch of different applications. I'm hoping that I can find the right application the first time.

Any suggestions??? Thanks.
