Hey-yo,

Just curious, as I'm sick and tired of my PC being so sheepish as its rather aged. I want to Overclock the Processor (P4 1.5ghz) does anyone know any good guides with attention to details? I don't want you to go to the work of writing out the long list of instructions, but if you know of a link, that would be great. And Sure Replacing it would be far easier, but 1 not as fun and 2 i'm quite poor. Hence forth, Overclocking is a Viable alternative, as free is good.

Checked Ext-Tech and a few others, but if anyone has one they know to be good / recommend, you'll make my day

Thanks

I don't quite know about a guide, but I do know that some BIOSes support this internally, you just go to your BIOS, and overclock it little by little, then run some CPU intensive stuff, and see if windows crashes, or run some kind of utility that monitors your CPU's temperature, see how hot it gets. Once you find some clock frequency that works for you, just enjoy smile.gif
Also, you should be aware that overclocking a CPU could shorten its lifespan wink.gif (I think it's due to long periods of hotness laugh.gif)
