Just tell me, how do you make a screenshot?

I can't find an image editor!

You have the actual ubuntu, or do you have kubuntu? Anyway, in ubuntu (with gnome), you should be able to make a screenshot with your good old print screen key. If not, you could check your keybindings (typically found in the System->Preferences->Keyboard Shortcuts menu.
If that doesn't quite work out, you can always use the screen capture feature of the gimp, which (I'm pretty sure) should come with a fresh install of ubuntu (Applications->Graphics->GIMP Image Editor) wink.gif

Very nice Xantan! Love that clean look, how's it running for ya? I was going ta ask yu how you managed to imbed your picture but I see you are hosted at PhotoBucket. Good to see you're still around and hope you have a great '08!

Here's a little screenshot of my desktop as it is right now:

I chose to stop using gnome as it is, and instead I'm using:
  • openbox as the window manager (instead of metacity)
  • xfdesktop (from xfce) as my desktop manager (icons on the desktop) (instead of nautilus)
  • gnome-panel as the panels you see on the top and bottom
  • thunar (also from xfce) as my file manager (instead of nautilus)

Somehow, it feels like my laptop's battery lasts a tad longer, but maybe not. Either way, I like it like this smile.gif
