Im not sure if this is in the right place and its kinda hard to explain but all imbedded photo jpgs, all inserts in web pages, some stuff on web pages , etc etc is now being rendered in a very low resolution, meaning that they are showing up as expandended pixelateld versions, including all grey rendered things on this sote and all other sites I visit, this is driving me nutty and I have used my limited knowlege to try and up date explorer, gone into desktop properties, looked everywhere I can think of, gone into my system and tried to find something to change this, nothing has worked yet. Im runing ME but this shouldn't be an issue (for all you ME haters) as until a very short time ago this wasn't happening. So What is with this thingy? Some pages open in my usual sites just fine, others the pictures there are suxored, what the heck is going on and can anyone help me with a coherant answer? I am wondering if there may be an issue with my Nvidia card but everything I've looked at in my system says everything is running properly. Its makin' me mental as when ever i go to any site I cant even see the thumbnails......................AAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG! sad.gif

Thanks and Cheers,

Serge

DOH!!!!!! (in a very Homer Simpson-ish manner)

After two days of pulling my hair out, re-installing IE (twice), service packages etc., going through all my display settings (20x), re-installing my graphics card, and searching through just about every forum I could find on the problem a friend of mine figured the problem out in 30 seconds. I am on a dial-up connection and have a feature from Telus (our telephone co. and my IT provider) called 'high-speed dial-up' which actually isn't higher speed lol, anyway, inside the properties of so-called high speed software is a resolution setting that had migrated to a lower setting thereby making my pixelated nightmare. I have no idea how it got to the setting it was at but how highspeed dial-up works is by lowering picture/graphics resolutions on all sites, or you can select sites where it doesn't do this. Long story short, it was the one thing I didn't even think of to look at, DOH! again rolleyes.gif .
Problem solved, am a happy camper again and feeling rather sheepish. blush.gif laugh.gif
