Full Version: iPod Protection?

Alright, alright, so I've gotten some money, and I want to succumb to the horrible trend of getting myself a 60GB Video iPod.

Priced at $400, naturally, I want to keep it in prime condition, while still being able to see it's slick appearance.

Apple's shop site didn't help much--it's just a bunch of people posting back and fourth on how great, or how crappy some case is. So, no help there.

I want a case that will keep my iPod scratch-free, and protect it from small-distance drops, and bumps.
Bulkiness is not an issue. I just want something that works!

ANY suggestions would be outstanding.

But I've thought of this: buying this, and using some sort of case, or maybe just a sock.

I appreciate any feedback.

I don't own an iPod, I don't protect my mp3 player at all, but if I'd ever buy an iPod, I'd also buy an iSkin. It's a little pricey, but it seems to me it's really worth it.

Yeah like PSYchotic said I too definatly would buy something. Even my sons Ipod Nano thing we bought these rubber skins at Spencers in the mall (American shop that sells weird things) For yours since its video I would pick up one that has a clear window (do they have a touch screen on the new ones?) anyway yeah make sure you use protection LOL

Edit: By clear window I mean something realy clear for video smile.gif my sons has a clear window but im not sure Video would look so hot through it.

I have a Toshiba Gigabeat, (basically same as an ipod, but a little different for those who dont know) and I just took some very heavy plastic bought at a hardware store and used some contact adhesive and moving tape, and made a perfect, clear case for it. It wont do anything for damages, but it works wonders for keeping it dust and scratch free. Total cost $0.40. This doesent sound like what your needs are but I thought id throw it out there for anyone else.
