So I’m a huge comedy fan and I thought I’d start this thread to share some of my favorite routines with y’all. I doubt I’ll get to it every day, but I’ll try to get to it at least a few times a week. Here’s the first installment:

Listen to Marketing & Advertising by Bill Hicks : http://www.napster.com/player/tracks/12409846

(to listen to it you have to do a quick register w/ Napster, but all they need is a valid e-mail address, and you don’t have to sign up for anything). Oh, and feel free to post your favorites!

Currently this gentleman is my favorite male comedian: Listen to American Dream by Eddie Izzard : http://www.napster.com/player/tracks/15219604

I don't know why, but both of these links just redirect me to napster.com and then I have no idea where to look for this "quick registration" you're talking about sad.gif I'd like to hear those though.

Hey, I'm from the same place you are. wink.gif So, let's see, what should happen is that if you wait a while a web-based media player should open and prompt you for that registration. However, you can just go here: http://www.napster.com/napsterlinks/ and click on the tiny register button in the top right hand corner. Once you are signed in my links will work automatically (though I think you need to sign in every x number of hours or something). You're allowed to listen to each of them five times, and you can search their library on that NapsterLinks page and find links of your own if you have comedy faves to share.
NapsterLinks I gather is different from Napster itself, I actually am not signed up (as in paid for their thing) with Napster so I think you just get to use NapsterLinks as much as you want for free, which is pretty durn cool IMO.

This is currently my favorite George Carlin routine, but it's a hard choice, the man's got a 45+ year career: Listen to Advertising Lullabye by George Carlin : http://www.napster.com/player/tracks/13782351

Oh, except you. smile.gif They won't work for anyone not in the US, anyone outside US gets just 30 seconds of the track. Though there's some special Napster Canada thing, but I dunno about that. Heh, you are a Napster hater too, I take it?

I've seen this lady live, and she's funny as hell and definitely insane. Anyone seen "The Comedians of Comedy"? She was on that. Listen to Hollywood Standards by Maria Bamford : http://www.napster.com/player/tracks/15209170

Actually I have napster free for a few months or something, it came with my MP3 player. I think the trial period is up, but I havent even used it yet, lol, im not big on Napster, im not a hater, just not a lover.
mossygiraffe
I guess that's where I stand too. I have to admit they are getting some love from me with the NapsterLinks thing. As long as they stand for free music, I love them. I used to use them back in the free days.

oldie but goodie: Listen to Black Movie Theaters by Eddie Murphy : http://www.napster.com/player/tracks/10013862
MrPink
I loved them in the free days too, but as soon as they had a option where you had to pay $$$, then they were dead to me.
Thoughtless
LOL, that's awesome, mossy. I'll have to go find some more eddie murphy now ^^

I didn't follow the whole napster thing, really tongue.gif It was back while i was addicted to EQ, i think. I like the links thing. Didn't really seem important, but then I've always been more into piano.

I think you need to explain what an aggie is to them...
Yeah, what's an aggie? huh.gif
Cooper
Peter... You know what an aggie is. Only a geek wouldn't. Whoops, sorry. For everyone else-an aggie is just someone who goes, or went, to Texas A&M University.
