Is this product good for deleting trails and removing temp files? I'm new to the group and over 50.....So be easy on me....I can't find any real reviews...I have a thing about being An American and FREE...Don't like all those cookies and tracking programs slipped on you...Hope I'm in line with my questions...Got a lot of respect for you young folks. Keep um honest!!!

Read the blurb on what it can do, sounds pretty good if you are worried about your privacy. You could probably find individual free programs to do each of those tasks though.

Personally I think the delete cookies and clear cache options in FireFox do the trick just fine. There are very few people who know how to, or would go through the effort of recovering your deleted files. As far as saved passwords go, any password that is important to you should be in a secure password manager anyways such as PINS. I generally only keep passwords that I don't really care too much about saved in my browser's password manager.

You definately want an anti-spyware/adware application to warn you early on about any unusual cookies etc. So basically if you dont mind doing the odd bit of maintenance yourself, I wouldn't bother spending money on an application to do it. But if you would like an easy way of doing this, and would like the extra sense of security that something else is looking after it for you go for it.

Maybe someone else knows of a Free alternative, I don't use windows much these days anymore.

windows defender is good for removing coockies and tracking software spyware and so much more and it is free from www.microsoft.com there is a free firewall www.zonelabs.com you can't have two firewall running at the sametime and it also go for antivirus software you can get a free copy from www.grisoft.com all 3 software are free and free updates. why pay if you don't have too. LOL land of the free
