I've always used McAfee VirusScan because it was what my university gave us for free. I've decided to try AVG and have downloaded the free version. I have not uninstalled the McAfee, would you guys run these together or loose the McAfee?

Do not run two AVs together, its okay to have a couple of adaware progs, but running more than one anti-virus can lead to grief as they will conflict, so, uninstall the Mcafee, AVG has a decent reputation, uses less resources, updates regularly etc etc., you should be happy.
Cheers!

Yea uninstall one of the two. I prefer AVG over McAfee, but I don't use either so I'm not going to tell you which to remove.

serges2 post is exactly what you should do .. thumbsupsmiley.gif

I've run just about everything (except Nod32) over the years in antivirus and spyware removal, but at present using..

AVG FREE antivirus - with email scanner & self updating

---

Windows Defender (Beta 2)
Ewido Networks (14 day guard - then scanner for FREE)

I found Ewido was the best at digging things out of the browser Caches & the system backups.
cyberghost
What is ewdo?
