I am on Gentoo using Kopete which is Multi-Protocol, but the only network I connect to is the MSN Network at this time.

When I was still using Windows, I used
Miranda IM which is pretty much a trillian clone with plugin capabilities (not sure if Trillian has those). But since I use Linux (Ubuntu Breezy 5.10

) I replaced it with
aMSN and
XChat2, since msn and irc are really the only protocols I use.

MSN messenger version 7.0, has all I need and easy access to my photos and documents etc. Easy to use and configure, no probs so far.

MSN 7.5...or whatever the latest version is...I also use Gaim when i'm on linux, but mostly MSN. All my friends use it, so there is no need for anything else...

using Adium on my mac its cross platform with linux if anyone is interested i'm loving it

Well, currently I am using a portable version of GAIM, but normally I use trillian 3.1 or Windows Live Messenger (beta)

I use Yahoo and Gmail IM.
