Hmm... Fear 2 shows the ATi 1900XT series beating the 7900's... although the NVidia's did show off some cool new techs with image sampling and such. They did it again in Call of Duty 2, but it looks as thought the ATi's kindof got owned with NFS... but ATi did the same to NVidia on the BF2 test.

We feel that NVIDIA's hardware suffers from having lower realistically playable image quality - high quality anisotropic filtering is a given on the Radeon X1900-series cards, meaning that they are in a different league on the image quality front. If you're looking for the best-looking pixels in the business, you should be using an ATI Radeon X1900XT or Radeon X1900XTX. That's not to say that NVIDIA's filtering quality is outstandingly bad, it's just not as good as its competition.

Sweeeeeeeet.

I wonder what the Transperncy SuperSmapling AA looks like in comparison to ATi's Quality Adaptive AA. I mean, it looks like the TSS is killing NVidia's Frame Rates... but is that because it's producing a MUCH better image? My eye isn't catching something because the images in the article look very similar... even though the reviews say otherwise.

Pricewise so far the ATi's are still up there, but actually a bit cheaper than NVidia's stock if you look around.

ATi still has the lead... they've had it for awhile now... I wonder how much longer they can hold it... Considering their X-800 series held the trophy for the longest time, then the X1800 and 1900 series hit the market and killed it. Oh well, at least NVidia is finally getting their act together. Tabs to them if they can beat ATi.
