Alright, so I'm getting two new toys in a few months:
First is a new 300 GIG (I don't know how I'll ever fill it up) hard drive.
Second is a 300 GIG external hard drive with a cool-looking case/holder thingy.

Anyway, so should I go with 600 GB of space, or a 300 GB RAID system that's über fast?
I'm leaning more towards the 600 GB, just to say that I have it.

600GB more space and you will definetly fill it up with the right bittorrent client.

*cough*Give me your Bittorrent site list*cough*

Wish I could do that but it just wouldn't be right.

Actually, I have 600GB of storage space (3 200GB Maxtor Drives), and I want to pick up at LEAST 2 more 300GB drives.

I have about 40GB free... and that's because I haven't re-installed my games yet... tongue.gif

I have a feeling I can fill up my 1.5 TB goal... lol

But not ALL of it is downloaded. I do alot of audio/video editing, and when you work with the BEST quality out there (uncompressed) and covert to DivX or XVid, or OGG or MP3, you need TONS of space. Converting a 400MB 2 hour video file to MPEG for DVD playback requires about 3.5GB for the video and about 500 MB for the Uncompressed audio.

And that's just ONE video. Plus, anything recorded by FRAPS is in Uncompressed RAW, so I get EXACTLY what I see on my screen... about 5 minutes of that at 1024x768 gets me a split 6GB AVI file tongue.gif

Yeah it is crazythe space neededto do alot of simple things today. I don't really do any video editing, but my 400GB can hold every game I have

<--Currently is only using 50 GB of space for games, some Flash developement, photos, games, music, etc.

I need more programs, though. And this Hard Drive getting full.
I'm still going to get the 600 GB even if I can't ever fill it up. XD
