Hey all

I have a first gen Nomad that actually still works, believe it or not! Anyways tha batteries really suck in it but i'n not knocking Creative on it (maybe their third party batt supplier) and was wondering if anyone knew what i could use instead so that battery power lasts me a lot longer than 3 days.

Also anyone know of a remote i could use with it other than anything from Creative, i'm on a buget. Maybe if someone knows how to get a Technics remote to work with it.

Any info would be cool as i am still lookin around.........

Specs:

Nomad Jukebox (model DAPAG01)
HDD: Fujitsu 10gb
latest firmware
Batteries:Ni-MH 1.2V 1800 mAh (x4)(model180AAHC)

Three days!! Battery saver mode? Thats perty good considering they rate them for 20 some-odd hours. Did a bit of googling, not a whole lot of battery options for you, from what I've read you should be careful with old ni-mh ones too as they sometimes melt if left in with no use for a while. Probably your best bet is to look into a lithium-ion replacement. These folks might be able to help you though if you're not aware of them already, it is here> http://www.nomadness.co.uk/modules.php?nam...t=440&view=next
