Okay I'm doing a basic research paper on HDD's vs. SSD's on mobile computing systems and I had a few questions I was hoping you guys could answer.

1.) Is there any laptop/pda/mobile device in use that utilizes ONLY flash memory as its primary storage? Or anre theere any plans of manufacturing such a device? Im talking about a computing solution like a PDA, not just a mobile phone or an MP3 player

2.) Could someone tell me which processor clock speeds were broken in which year? i.e. like 2.4 GHz in 2000, 3.8 in 2005 etc. etc.. Im only talking about Intel processors here

3.) Similar to the above, does anyone have info on Hard disk speeds? like when the 4200rpm drive was released, when the 5400 drive came out etc. etc.

4.) Does anyone know of any comparison between the lives of hard disk drives versus solid state devices drives like those in MP3 players or flash drives? I wanted to do a graph of probability of failure of the device versus time to show the reliability of the device and i needed data to support it...

Thanks in advance!!
