I found an article that explains how you can get by with as little as 4.5hours per day and still feel great. This guy swears by it and says he's been doing it for 5 years now.

I think I may try it.

Check it out here

11 hours. I'm so damn lazy...

Seriously, on average, about 9 or more, I think.

Personal Records:
Longest time without sleep:
8 days 4 hours - (3 years ago)

Longest time asleep:
2 days 13 hours - (3 years ago... right after above record)

Most times experienced the same dream (Reoccuring Nightmare):
11 times over 14 years - (Damn nightmare about an island mountain errupting and I can't get off the island. Oh, and I just so happen to be at the volcano's pinnacle at the beginning of the erruption. thumbsupsmiley.gif )

Most times a mundane dream has come true:
4 times - (That I was able to count...)

Alright... I'm goin' to bed

I get about 9 1/2 on average. I could go with much, much less if I wanted to, but I'm just not a very busy person these days, so I don't see the point in going with any less.

Hm, the longest I've ever gone without any sleep was 36 hours. I didn't see the point in going any longer because I was on vacation and was completely free to sleep, but I did spend those 36 hours, all but 1 hour, working on my music. That was tiring.

I think I average about 5-6hrs most of the time, but like invalid_entry if I burn the candle too far and/or party hardy I'll do a double+ sleep (if I can get away with it, parenthood is wonderful for sleep). biggrin.gif My biggest problem is getting my sleep in one block, especially during the winter months when I automatically get up at around 3-4AM to check/rebuild the fire (our only source of heat), I very often end up on the PC (here) blathering away to anyone who'll listen or talking to the cat who rarely answers coherently, write or carve, or lay around and read a bit till I nod off again. Anyone who has done swing-shift will know how screwed-up your circadian rhythms can get, it is very hard to get them back on track after-wards. I worked in a sawmill for over 9yrs and 7 of them were on afternoons/graveyard swing, my sleep has never been the same since ( '88) and it can be wearing. sad.gif

serges, just overclock your computer, and remove your fan / heatsink, that would help heat your house. tongue.gif
