Ok, in a nut shell this is one of those will it work on my system...

Since i'm tired of the problems with 98se i am wondering how well it will run on my P3
Important Specs:
P3-450MHz
96MB(some kind of PC133) RAM.

Don't tell me i should get a bit more ram or any crap like that...just will it run smoothly? and how would games run?

Hehe.... you can get XP to run on a 133 if you do it right tongue.gif

Yes, it'll run. Smoothly? Hmm... it MIGHT, not sure though. As for games, nothing major.
DragonByte
nothing major...i think the most intense game i would have on there would be Half Life 1 with the HD pack....
I just want all those damn errors and such outa the way.

Im sure it will run but you might realy think about getting some more ram the more the better lol I have some sticks of PC133 laying around one 128MB one and I think one 256MB... I dont have any PC's that use PC133 but I keep some around just in case lol
GTX5_Crusader
I think Half Life will run, but not with the HD packs.

Yea XP will run. I have a 333mhz and it runs XP smoothly. Mind you I did turn all the extra stuff down. However, running HL1 smoothly...I'm not sure. Mine didn't run CS very well.

yeah but his is like 40% faster then yours was hmm at least in terms of CPU speed lol I wish I had kept my old P3 733mhz I would have sent it to him smile.gif I may just pack up a stick of that ram and mail it to him... I mean whats it cost to mail a peice of ram ? like 2-3 bucks ? lol

Edit: Well this is your lucky day smile.gif I was digging through my old parts and found 2 sticks of PC133 ram 256MB's each. I cant be sure that they will work for you as once you get over 128MB's with PC133 compatability drops like a mofo (I had an ASUS mobo so it was fine) if you want I can mail them smile.gif
DragonByte
Sure i will PM you with my address

Ok, so i've been browsing around and found out i didn't tell you it worked, kinda choppy everynow and then, low RAM(to be expected), but over all everything runs smoothly.
