Browsing in a text-based browser is very simple and nice with a poor shared connection. However, I seem to have problems with submitting forms using lynx - it lets me fill in all the fields, and pick options from multiple-choices, but then at the bottom of the form, it'll just say [BUTTON] which I have been unable to click - is there a secret to do this in lynx, or do I need to find another text-based / lowweight browser for this?

Thanks in advance for any input you may have! smile.gif

Tabbing to the button then pushing either Enter or Space Bar should work.

I wish it would, but it's not selectable (e.g. if I'm at the last input part of the form and hit tab, then it just doesn't move to the button, but remain where it is).

Then it is most likely that Lynx does not understand that form correctly. Are you using the latest version?

Try pushing down. If that still doesn't goto the Submit button, then I don't know sorry. Its definately Tab or Down then Enter to submit a form in Lynx.

I think it's the last version, "lynx -version" gives

Lynx Version 2.8.5rel.1 (04 Feb 2004)

Similarly, I've tried pushing the down arrow, but it won't let me get to the button that way either.

I guess if the problem is that lynx does not understand the form correctly, that there is little that can be done on the side of the user.

Thanks for trying to help out thumbsupsmiley.gif
