Basically it's about 2 young kids who learned to use the science of Alchemy at a very young age. When their mother died of a non-cureable illness, they decided to use what was known as Human Transmutation, which, as all Alchemy Transmutations, follows a law of "Equal Trade"... if you gain something, something of equal value must be lost. When the 2 kids tried to revive their mother, something horrible went wrong and the consequences were hideous (I won't go into detail as it'll probably freak you out like crazy). The anime is mostly about the Alchemy taboo known as Human Transmutation.
I've been watching this anime and been following it deeply. The way each episode ties in with one another, even after several episodes, is really good. The plot line keeps getting better and better, and just when you think that the series has to end, a huge plot twist is thown in the mix, and when you're done saying "omgwtf" and flipping out, it continues on.
If I had to describe the series, I'd say "warped". The outcomes of Human Transmutation is somewhat shown be episode 6, an episode which will have you laying awake at night with a flashlight, and is fully discussed later, in which case you'll then want a flashlight AND a gun.
If you like an anime with a deep plot line, and one that will make you think so many different things about 1 character... well... every character, as well as a show that makes you try to figure out the series as it does along, then I greatly reccomend this anime.
So... anyone else see it? Any views on it? Try not to spoil it for those who haven't seen all of it yet
Well, back to the anime. Been watching it for the past 4 hours, and I still have 5 more hours to go
