I actualy had that book at one time lol if you think about it computers still work almost exactly the same as they did back then they are just more complex and faster now smile.gif a Comadore 64 has all the same abilities as a 3Ghz P4... it has RAM and can do all the same math (just ALOT slower) and could write to disks and one thing it had over the current crop of computers is that its OS was embeded and boot time was like 0 LOL I sometimes wish they could do something to embed the OS in ROM now but that would make updates a nightmare.... I can just imagine people frying computers every time MS has an update and they toast the EPROM... LOL

What's interesting is their prediction of the future was very accurate (see "This Year, Next Year, Sometime...?") We have all those things listed now, or atleast something similar. biggrin.gif

is this really humor though? This is real stuff from back then smile.gif

Its only Funny becuase of where we are now. I'm sure 15-20 years ago this would be in the Hardware/Tutoral section biggrin.gif

15 years ago this book would still be under copyright protection and would've had to be taken off the site tongue.gif biggrin.gif
