At startup...in my system stray is...

Infra Red adapter's symbol...it tells me when another infra red device is nearby...

Bluetooth adapter's symbol...

My printer icon..telling me my printer is ready...

And that's it at startup...but afterwards...ICQ will be there...and that's about it normally.

Safely Remove Hardware Icon (If anyone knows how to remove this let me know)

That's what my infra red icon is. For me the "Hardware" that is to be safely moved is the "other" device I am using with my computer through infra red.

Can there be too many items in the systray?
Fixedamage
Well...the more items in the systray means more programs are running....therefore, your memory will be in use. The more items = more programs = Less Memory Left for anything else....biggrin.gif

Any given time, Jet Audio for music, Bit Defender for Anti-virus, couple local area connections/internet.. That's about it, I don't run too much on my system.. A lot of people have RAM mangers and Optimizers, they are ALL TAKING UP MEMORY!!!! Bugs me, how something that uses more memory then it frees up can still be legal.. crap, nothing but..
