Hey!

What do members of GN put on their web pages? Merchandise, Guestbooks, Downloads, Games, News. Just wondering, I have a difficult time thinking of something to put on web pages when I start from scratch... Are the pages dynamic, do they have interactive parts, neat mouseOver's, etc.

I have my business on mine.
But the web site is crap and i have to re-do it.

What language(s) do you use?

Mine has news, downloads, tutorials, tweaks, etc. on it. We wrote it in PHP so that changing the content would be easy.

Simplistic Simplicity.

I usually make websites for my hobbies, never really had a personal page. Unfortunately, all my sites are down now, but I used to use flash extensively.

Never really used flash before, easy to use? I've seen flash MX everywhere under the sun, but never really pursued it.. Animation isn't my cup of tea.

flash is almost like video editing and Computer animation put together.

I used to put a lot of flash into mine but it just takes to long to create. I've even experimented with Swish and those other programs that create Flash really quick, they work..but still..takes too long

hmm... yea, I've tried swish too, it's really good to use for some quick , dirty design but not really suitable for doing a whole website in as the code it generates is very very very inefficient and takes up a lot space. Good for doing presentations and projects in though where you can just burn the files onto a CD.

I never got into PHP, any website I've had with PHP has been pre-generated.

Flash produces ineffient code. Grr... I will not use it then. Inefficient code is almost immoral. I will rewrite code many many many times.. Example, 1000 lines to 480.. This is the bare minimum it can be.. stupid 6 page form...
