What is the world coming too... If you want something more effective... take a screenshot of your desktop, set it as the background. Most won't figure it out, becuase everything is exactly placed correctly. Even some techies can't figure it out, all unresponsive... lol.

//Create a folder. for ($i=0;$i<500;$i++) { if ($folder) { //create sub folder within last folder created. } }

If you can decifer the pseudo code/PHP code, That would pretty much sum up what a couple friends did in the computer lab. Not hacking, but caused a lot of damage to the network..
In terms of hacking, one friend hit another friend with that newb program Sub7. That's the extent of hacking in my group of friends. As for me, the most "unwanted access" was cracking a friends password.
Edit: This code function works nicely, I quite like it..

wouldve been better if he substituted i++ with i--

. How do you run this? Save it as .php with notepad and execute it ??
mutinymonger
Aug 19 2004, 01:01 PM
Nonono, i++ means "i" is incremented by one, i-- would indicate an endless loop.. now i get it, lol. That was just the easiest way I could express that thought instead of saying something boring like
"A bunch of friends created a folder within a folder, roughly 500 times. This proceeded to crash the network."
As for the running, with a bit of tweaking, you could run that program... just the creating a folder. Haven't tried creating a folder, although I have created txt files, lol. I could post the function to create the text files if you want...

As for the notepad situation, you are correct, save as .php and run it.

Folder creation... I haven't looked into it, no need. Hmm.. I'll check PHP.NET, see if there is some function there that will do it? Anaking, just out of morbid curiosity. wouldn't this be against the rules of GN.... putting code up to cause server problems? I think I will wait before I post malicious code up, and get banned...
anakinsolois
Aug 19 2004, 05:01 PM
Well, the problem is I dont know any servers i could crash. Nah i was thinking somethng in the range of 30 folders as a prank
mutinymonger
Aug 19 2004, 05:10 PM
I could do 30 txt files, or 30 dll's...

It does fuc*ing affect me... Your government has Nuclear/chemical weapons... (Obviously that can affect the whole world).. second... Kerry is just the same.. Democratic and Republican, funded by same exact doners, vote the same, operate the same... and you should be revolting, not advertising CORRUPT GOVERNMENTS... READ A DAMN BOOK...
(That is my last post on the forum about this,... Talk to me in PM if you wish to continue, Trick)

Agreed with Trick, US affects everyone, regardless what country you are in. It's a tragedy, constantly in motion, propelled by brainwashed citizens, gobbling up whatever the media tells them. "This is a just war" Ya right... Anyways, enough about talking about politics, much to short of a life span to do that.
