For those of you who don't know the "!" character, other than STOP! or GO! usage, it means "NOT" Example a != b Means a "not equal to b"

I was in the beginning of teaching myself JS, but then got out of it.. not really a use for it.. Sort of a neat language, but not worth the time to learn..

ive been coding for bout 2.5 years or so.. i started out with HTML and PHP (the basics) as well as VB script and then moved on to other things (mostly Java now since that is what i have a lot of classes for in college, being a rather recent program , as of 1995 in comparisson to other progs) and currently teaching myself c++ coz it seems to me its the most useful.

I didn't vote, because I don't remember when I really started, but I think that was about 2-3 years ago. I started with quickbasic, that was cool, making a calculator program with it, command-line smile.gif Then I tried visual basic, and I made a few programs with that too, a calculator (this time one with a GUI), some kind of mastermind thing... I messed around with HTML and PHP, and I've got a big book about C++ which I have read the first 50 pages of, but didn't have the courage to go further, especially when I saw that the programs you could make were all command-line, and if you want something with a GUI, you'll have to program with Visual C++, and therefor you need to learn new stuff, because it's not all the same sad.gif I guess that's about all I did with programming so far, but I intend to do more in the future smile.gif Anyway, I suck at all the programming languages I tried to learn so far biggrin.gif
Sir Nacnud
I first started programming about 2 years ago with quick basic. Now I know c++ and I am learning Java.
mutinymonger
Java will be easy to learn if you have a knowledge of C
Deftone
true but I think it works more the other way around. Java uses more complex sentences to do the same thing.

right now im abit in trouble..i got this project due and they havent explained crap so I dunno exactly what to do with it (in java) ..so well Ill have to see how i manage it.
mutinymonger
Search online.. You can find everything.. I learned so much PHP online..Java should be similiar
GTX5_Crusader
Very little... almost no programming at all here. I've taught myself BASIC and some HTML, but that's about it. I never had a class on either.
