Did you run a mem test to make sure your RAM is good?

you might consider upgrading from 9x, if you've got ~$220 to spare, win2kpro is much more stable, and much more compatible with state of the industry applications (i mean, look at doom3, needs either 2k or xp to install...)...just a suggestion, cause if you're running 9x, likely you've got an older system that's been upgraded a bit, but xp takes a lot more resources than 2k...got a 333mhz with 128mb ram running 2kp for network storage, render slave, etc...smeh, it's one option amongst many, i just think you'd be a lot more pleased with 2k's performance over xp on an older system....btw, what kinda proc/mem are we talking about here?

well somehow it got fixed over night but those sound like a good idea 368 ram and 1.3 ghz is good enough for those things right?
of course the thing were it got fixed happened last time then again over night it broke so i dont know if its over

aw i didn't realize you were running that good...thought you were talking in the mhz laugh.gif yeah maybe upgrading to 2k or xp (that setup would run xp no prob at all) isn't such a bad idea, both are a lot more efficient and compatible...not to mention some hardware developers are beginning to phase out 9x builds of their drivers. headsetsmiley.gif

I just ran into this problem today. Fixed it after about 2-3 hours. Would run into the error when booting normally, booting in safe mode or command prompt wouldn't get the error, so figured it was a driver issue. Turned off all the drivers using msconfig and then turned them back on one at a time. The one that caused it was nwiz from an nvidia gforce2 graphics card. Uninstalled the drivers and reinstalled them, no more problem. This is using driver version 66.94 i believe.
