Yeah thats true but Divx wasnt compatible for a while with Media Player 9 that type of thing probably wont ever happen again as Divx is sooo popular on the net these days even for short little movie clips (it sure saves alot of bandwidth)

I had K-Lite codec pack and Dr. DivX installed and had no probs with DivX on Win Media Player. Though i had to remove it since it wasnt compatible with Freelancer

Just got it and it looks cool, with better CD burning, audio ripping and DVD playing support.
Any idea on where the feedback forums are?

Each time we install WMP 9...There is a default setting that makes it start up the "guide" every time you load up WMP9. In WMP9 there is an option to make it so that it doesn't start up with the "guide." Anyone figure out how to do this in WMP10???

I remember setting that option somewhere, but I cant find it now. IT is possible since mine starts up only in Now Playing mode

Go to Tools-->Options and untick the box that says "Start player in media guide". That's it

Oh, sorry, I should've checked... But anyway, it kinda stinks it's only for winxp (at least for now). I hope they'll make it available to other versions of windows (like server 2003 maybe

) Not that I like wmp that much... It's just that I have to try, otherwise I never know what's better : Winamp or WMP

hmm, WMP 10 seems to occupy less RAM than WMP 9 and also starts up a bit faster. CPU load is a bit less, but very little, that may be due to some other reason.

The screens of the new skin look butt ugly, I hope there's a bit variety in the skins you can choose.

Nah, the skins pretty cool. There are no other official skins for the beta, but all WMP 9 skins work with WMP 10 beta
