slow classical stuff.......my grandpa plays it and it drives me INSANE

ICP mostly for me. Anything of that genre. Some heavy metal isn't too bad, but I don't like the most of it. Korn, bleh! Death Metal? That's music??? Most Rap as well.

I'm more of a classic rock person.

Hard to say since all genres of music pretty much suck except classical.

ah! classical is cool. i like to listen to it sometimes. I still like new stuff though.

I tend to be very open with my tastes but i completely hate the faceless generic rap that is out now.

I agree with snocked... Classical is tolerable... the rest, you get some good ones and some BAD ones every once in a while....

Country *cringe*.... and most anything pop culture, but that line is starting to get a bit hazy at least to the non hardcore fans of certain scenes.

i love all kinds of music and can appreciate it all but the music i dont like or respect would be the boy bands that dont write their own music or femal solo artist that are just for commercial junk

The types of music I hate most would have to be heavy metal, rap, country, boy bands, etc. Many of your comments reminded me of different genres of music I can't stand.

i thought of sumthin else i hate.........MANUFACTURED CR*P like American Idol and stuff liek that.... only reason they sell is coz they are put in the public eye......

I watched some of that show once, how stupid. I cannot stand those reality tv shows, bluck.

Music used to be a form of art, a way people expressed themselves, I am sure ARTISTS like beethoven would have felt sorry to see what has happened to music...

those guys were geniuses, true artists... I would compare Beethoven to Michaelangelo anyday, but there is no way i would compare a current music *artist* as I bet they call themselves to a current famous painter, sculptor...

For today's music I like songs that have a really good, deep bass too it, something that you can blow your speakers out on, and music with really good guitar. But, it seems that about the only music with that sometimes is Rap or metal, which I don't like.

As someone who fights depression daily, I think today's music is awesome. It's real. Not everyone is happy all the time and you need someone like Aaron Lewis or Johnathan Davis so you can realize someone else understands in a way. They are artists in my opinion. They express the darkest of feelings that very few are willing to admit they have.

I listen to almost every type of music but i tend to like punk better. I'd rather never listen to rap or other music that uses racial slurs or excessive amounts of vulgar words. Not appealing and quite childish.

For me, there are some songs with very few vulgarities (example: Nickelback) and I don't mind them... I just won't listen to them alot. But, other songs have things like "Die Mother ..... " over and over again, or something like that. What's the point in that???

There is no point, exactly my point in many of my statements regarding this genre of music.

Aren't most of these genres of music you guys speak of distasteful, as in dozens upon dozens of vulgar words, racial slurs, etc, etc.

GTX did post some heavy metal song that didn't seem so bad so I don't know... I never find myself listening to this type of music.

Why in the world do you listen to it then? Sorry, this is not just applying to you, D3m0n, but rather to everyone who listens to this "music". There must be something spectacular about it otherwise people in the droves wouldn't listen to it.

i dunno...i kant asnwer for everyone....but it gets me pysched and in a crazy mood.....so if im about to play sport of sum kind...then its good......... or if ive had a bad day it helps 2 calm me down..

I know that some punk is hard to understand but if you listen to it enough times your bound to pick up pieces of it. BTW Death Of Season is a song off of AFI's latest album...the only one with a vulgar word i do believe...and even then they only use it once....artist who have to use vulgar terms everyother sentence should find a way to enlarge their vocab. or just stop creating offensive lyrics.
