I frequently visit graphic-forums.com (i'm not promoting, it's just related to my topic) and realized how much i like photography. i was wondering if anyone else was into it? i personally use digital cameras, though i prefer the old skool cameras. black and white pics are my fave. and usually of odd things like hands and feet and abandon objects. anyone else share my obsession?

Well I don't like cameras all that much and never take pictures but if I did it would be of scenery (uncommon objects) and not people.

Well, since everyone is bragging, I used to go around a house we owned, over 500 years old and I took some cool pictures

beat that!
I also took some pictures of Persepolis, over 2500 years old, MUHAHAHA!
I like taking pictures from the sky, they don't turn out so good most the times, but the sky is the one of the most beatiful things I can think of for immortalising in film... I live in NZ and I still think the sky is more beautfiul than most nature scenery.

I've basically taught myself how to do photography and I mainly work with still-scenery such as hills, sunsets, weather, ect...
I've taken many pictures before, but with an old cheap camera, so none of the pictures came out all that good... that and I don't have any of them any more... If I can borrow my roomate's digital camera (and we can get batteries for it) I may be able to go out and get some scenic shots, and even show them off

oh indeed. i know that camera eats batteries, and so does my digital, which is why i prefer the old skool ones. and as for taking pictures of the sky...i like it, but prefer to photograph water. it's just always so beautiful even when it’s changing and i love to try to capture it on just one of those moments.

My dad had an old, very expensive camera that could seem to out-do today's digital cameras. With that, he's taken some amazing pictures of some of the storms we get around here, including some interesting weather effects (like a leaf tornado, or a cornfield pressed down from a microburst and downdrafts, or burn marks from lightning)... I wish I could find those pictures though...
