Well I think that movies based on comics only work if the viewers a comic reader and even then it can be tricky. I watch every movie possible just because i love movies but other then on the list some movies i do want to see next year are:

Kill Bill Vol 2 - Quentin Tarantino is one of my favorite directors

Big Fish - I don’t know if anyone else is a Tim Burton fan but i love his movies with the exception of Planet of the Apes, seems like big fish is going to be a nice fantasy ride. It seems like the fantasy genre is sort of fading so hopefully this wont bomb.

Resident Evil: Apocalypse - Ok now some of you may disagree with this but Resident Evil wasn’t actually that great of a movie but for movies based on video games i rank it number 1 and looking at the trailer of the sequel i just really want to check it out TRAILER but you never know maybe Alien Vs Predator will take the spot light for movies based on video games. If anyone tries to tell me that Tomb Raider is the best I might have to get medieval on your ass.

Dawn of the Dead - If your into Horror movies then you may remember this one yes its a remake and as a rule i hate remakes but hey the first movie was awesome and i think the zombies will look better in this one check it out if you don’t know what i'm on about TRAILER

Denzel Washington is in my top 10 actors so i'm looking forward to the 2 remakes that should be out next year, Man on Fire and The Manchurian Candidate where he plays the famous Sinatra role.

I quite liked Kill Bill, despite all of my friends's comments on how I might not like the blood! haha But it was quite good. I'm really looking forward to Lord of the Rings though. I'm happy to finally finish those two trilogies this year.

well the blood usually is a given with Tarantino movies but the way he exaggerated it made it almost ok it reminded me of the old Jap movies. Blood doesn’t bother me at all but when I recommended it to my parents i thought they would not like it just because of that anyways turns out they loved it too.

The anime cut scenes are awesome and before it was released I was doubting it a bit but I saw it loved it and waiting for the 2nd one which i believe is already complete just in the lab right now for editing.

Thats one thing that I love about Tanrantino he always comes original.

Resident Evil... ok.. I totally did not enjoy it as in basing it after the game line. The history they used and based Racoon's corruption over was not what happened in the books and in the original story and games. They changed it even worse so then they changed parts of the LoTR trilogy so they could keep the audience. But I think if the gameline series of Biohazard (RE) games can keep people interested just by releasing a new damn game, then basing the movie exactly after at least the way the virus outbreak happened (god forbid any film maker do this) would not have been an issue. They just got a bunch of money and the green light and then badda-bing.. suck city *cough* Resident Evil the movie, was made... .. where the hell was Capcom in all this? honestly... cause I don't think they had a part in their own story to begin with ><..

Aliens vs. Predator.. Alright, it's time for another Alien movie anyway, and hopefully they don't ass f*ck this movie like they did with Alien Ress (alien 4). They need to get back to the original three alien movies way and actually base this gamemovie AFTER the original story. I will be watching this, and boy, I'm a pretty hard alien series fan, and I played the crap out of the AvP games.. so I know the damn story.. if it does not follow by at least through the timeline of events, I will seriously boycot all gamemovies... I'm getting sick of them screwing these damn movies up.. it started with Super Mario Bros. That was about the WORST take on the Mario Bros story ever. And it was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO far from the game... urgh... sorry, I just hate when movie makers totally f*ck over game flicks.

RoTK, have the screener, definatly a go and see folks. It's Lord of the Rings, why the hell not lol I'm gonna actually go SEE this on in the theaters..first time lol

and I think like Jinx here, a fourth matrix could be in a possible future make because of the ending to Revolutions. It makes the whole damn trilogy seem like a prelude story to something bigger. Just like The Hobbit was to LoTR book wise. We'll see...

I want them to make a Diablo movie.. my cousin from Blizzard said so far they either just totally hush hushed it from my last update on the old GeekNewz, or they have scrapped it. OR they have stored it for the future, maybe they aren't ready for it. Since they actually started work on Diablo III, they have been rather busy.

Ah you just reminded me of video games made into movies and the one I really would like to see would be Max Payne lots of talk going around about making it into a mvoie I think it has potential but unlike you i dont expect a movie to be exactly like a game or even the same story its just based on the some aspect of the story i know what you mean with some of the movies but I dont think it would work if they stuck to the games story either.

They should be constructive and yes, have a new story, but at least base it around the original events as if they are happening during the same time.. but like the underground Umbrella complex for RE the movie threw even the base timeline completely off.. if your going to change things, and make something new and unique, don't base it in one of the key cities (Racoon City) and not make the city and areas around EXACTLY as they were made.. if they would have done at least that much, then I wouldn't be complaining as much.. but what happened to the locations from the main story line... if they wouldn't have changed the entire city and such, then I would have not cared because many stories have been written around the city and the events of the original stories... sorry.. they butchered and f*cked the first RE movie beyond any likable interest for the players of the games and followers of the story..

yes, Max Payne would make a great movie O.o.. how come I haven't heard of this happening lol.. I think they should make a cgi movie for Legacy of Kain.. like, some of the midway story between Blood Omen 2 and Soul Reaver.. like the start of the vampire evolution where Kain begins to change in features slightly and such. Gets the three cloven fingers and cloven like feet and such. And his powers start to become more divine and he slowly becomes the demi-god we know him as from the Soul Reaver series. lol Sorry, that was a pretty wild brainstorm however

Yes that is the charactor from Pitch Black. Vin Diesel did Pitch Black, XXX, A Man Apart, The Fast and The Furious, Boiler Room, and Knockaround Guys. And then theres also the movies he produced. He also has Hannibal (2005) and XXX² (2005).

Anyway no, The Cronicles or Riddock is not a sequal to Pitch Black. Totally different story.

The Chronicles Of Riddick really looks awesome so I think it could be great or completely bomb but we will see i'll definately check it out but as far as Vin Diesel movies go I cant say i'm impressed by them, I liked Pitch Black and Boiler Room I think is probably his best work but with more movies I think he will improve.

yeah - for some reason hollywood has regressed about 60-70 years, and is now splashing out once more on the big-budget lavish epics, that almost bankrupted them in the first place - sweet irony were it to happen again lol.

as for my movie - has to be the next 2 kill-bill volumes.

I like (most) of Tarantino's work, but have always been a big fan of the works he sites as influences (and pays homage to more than ever in KB vol.1)

although I'll probably end up going to the cinema to watch all these mega productions anyway - just in case.

I prefer character driven dialogue - but you really miss out on something if there's a quality epic, and you don't see it in the movie theatre with the digital THX (sp?) etc.
