id like to know what kind of gear do people have when it comes to music on the go
i have an archos 6000 with a spacey 6GB HD
i have a story with that too (you dont have to read it)
i bought it for 150 bucks and it was a real good deal
although its an old model it operated well for few days
then a week later i was on a trian and it felt kinda overheated
i turned it off and on..long story short...it broke.
oh well, i gave it to my friend to see what he can do (called the support and found out that "the number does not exist") then a weeks went by and i came over to my friends house and i was like "so did u do anything with it?" he just took it apart for his enjoyment so i decided that i should do it myself. i looked for a spare 9mm hard drive from a laptop and replaced the broken one.
started it up, plugged it in, found out carmageddon 3 was installed along with win2000
ok i formatted it and im happy to have some portable music back. also me being a mod freak who knows nothing about modding..i found a site with an open source firmware that completly replaces the archos' one. all those un-neccessary options are so cool!
anyways i just wasted few minutes of ur life if u read this..haha

I was hacking (non-cpu), use the foot, try and hit as many times as possible, and busted my cd player. I bought a sony mini-disc player for $199 CND, and still use it today. Don't ask me for the model number or anything, I bought it roughly this time of year, 2003. THE SOFTWARE IS USELESS! Do not use the sony netmd jukebox or whatever its called. Use nero, using the image recorder burn the audio, then use sony's simple burner to burn the image onto the player. Works a lot better then the sonicstage software.

Anyone use SonicStage? I find it always crashes whenever I try to import media. Also, it is very unstable anyways. You cannot even play a song from it, the play function is an instant "This prog has performed an illegal operation" screen, only XP style "This application has encountered a fatal error and will now close" (or something close) How many hours of music do you guys/girls get off your Portable music players, I get roughly 5.5 hours, low quality. Good enough for me, although I prefer Higher quality sometimes. Right now I have about 4.5 albums on there with some space left. Just curious. Does your's take long to convert to your player or transfer?

Toshiba Gigabeat F10
Its cool and has good features and a way better screen than the Ipods (I haven't seen the video Ipods yet though) but it wont connect to my computer anymore for some reason and the organization of files is a bit of a mess, so id give it a 4/10.
