Hey everyone im pretty new to linux, ive been using fedora for a couple of weeks with no problems, but now i want to completely uninstall everything, reformat and install longhorn 4051. Can someone help me out with this. That would be great thanks Fin.

well, if you have a longhorn install file, burn it to a bootable cd-r and then run the setup. It should format the drive to ntfs for you.

Moved to longhorn forum. Thread title edited for clarity.

yeah i have the iso already burned, but what do i do from there, fedora doesnt reconize any of the longhorn files,so how do i remove all parts of fedora and install longhorn?

reboot, and check that your bios is booting from the CDrom drive. IF the longhorn copy u got is bootable it should be able to read the cd and boot the installation from there. Though i dun see why u would even want Longhorn at this early stage of development. Too many bugs, ull hate itmore than love it.

If the CD is not bootable, just use a Windows boot disk.
www.bootdisk.com has them

at which point u can format and then install the new windows, which i prefer over installing the windows over something. much cleaner

Yeah always format when installing an OS.
