IE 4 wasnt too user friendly, not too many people use it.
rockman56
yap i know...that's why i posted it in the win9x section...i figured this would be my best chance, if they haven't upgraded to xp, maybe they also haven't upgraded to the newer ie either

IE 4... och! Evil combination... IE and 4 think about it, Internet Explorer which is **** bricks and then 4.0 old! Man you should get Avant or Firefox!

Spinning globe trobber? huh.gif

Well.. IE4 is damn good for using for hacking from... maybe that's why you're using it rockman wink.gif
JiNX
Ie4 is good for use on a windows NT box, because it has the option to install active desktop, quick launch, and the side panel.

Rezza
Install Tweak UI, it can automatically replace the waving flag with the IE spinning globe throbber for you

(mine is the Spinning globe and it's ver 6.0 smile.gif)
rockman56
really? where's the option? i can't seem to find it
.::PHPfanatic::.
IE > Small/large animation
You can also do it through RegEdit... it's just a matter of finding the key.
Rezza
Go to Internet Explorer options (in TweakUI) and click on "Small animation", from there you can either pick IE (spinning globe), Windows (waving flag) or custom (custom wink.gif)

rockman56
and this is in tweakui for windows xp? why don't i have that option?
Rezza
hmmm... try reinstalling the newest version from Microsoft's website.

We really ought to get the attachment thing working once and for all.

This will work...

Wow this is an old topic... Dunno if the mods will like it that you revived it, rh'er tongue.gif. Anyway, if rockman still wants to extract that throbber, I'd pick a weekend in which I have nothing to do, and open all the IE files I can think of to search them for that throbber (using reshack, of course)
PS : there's a chance that the throbber in question is still in the last version. I've used reshack on msn messenger once, and I found that there were masses of old and unused icons in there.

Well, I found a spinning earth, it's an avi, I extracted it, so here it is, I dunno if it is what you wanted : Spinning earth from some dll(I had to make a redirect page because tripod doesn't allow hotlinking of files anymore, except images)

Wow... this is something that you should've started a new thread over... but it seems that you got your question answered... I think this thread is done now. smile.gif
