A group of medicinal scientist in Argentina, announced today that they discovered a new method today that stops the growth of tumors within the organism. Its one of the biggest breakthroughs on investigations of skin cancer.
These scientists discovered that the tumors produce more in quantity of the protein galectine -1 than normal cells. By neutralizing this protein they observed that 95% of the speciments (rats and such) showed no more growth for their tumors. Gabriel Rabinovich was the lead investigator and will be given speeches on the technique in the US, UK and Japan.

I could care less which country the idea originates, all I care is that its been introduced to the public. However, for someone living in the same country I'm sure it's a different story.
I searched
BBC Health thinking it would be there but it isn't.

I've also searched Google and found nothing promising.
